Ecolutionist is a weblog dedicated to the evolution of progressive thought, actions and ideas. With the planet in mind, we hope to expand awareness within the scope of conscious living and bring to life a new way of thinking about the environment we live in, as well as ignite inspiration for universal change. Our goal is to provide accessible information in the most communal context on the web, so that global change can flourish, organically.

She enjoys yoga, knitting and crafting, and has a love for writing poetry and Sci-Fi. In addition to being a daily ecolutionist, she is also a freelance journalist and music writer. Coming of age in New York City, Beatrice was always fascinated with the green public spaces in her beautiful, manic city. Now she works in community development, exploring the democratic promise of green spaces and the budding radical potential of community gardens. She sees that people are empowered when they control their own food supply. Therefore she believes that public spaces are democratic, but green spaces are revolutionary. She contributes to ecolutionist regularly in the hopes of inspiring others to consider how our social and political structures would change if we lived in a more sustainable world.
Kyle is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and the editor of the eco-blog, The Starfish. He has a degree in biology with a minor in geography, and focuses mostly on ecological and environmental disciplines. In the future, he plans to travel abroad to learn more about these pressing issues that cannot be justified by sitting in a lecture hall. He also plans to pursue a graduate degree in natural resource sciences and management. As a budding ecologist, he loves to learn about the issues surrounding conservation and biodiversity, and is excited to translate his knowledge into actions for the ecolutionist community! In his spare time, Kyle enjoys hikes, kayaking, and watching documentaries.
Jo is a blog writer for the award winning charity, Do The Green Thing. She grew up among the birds and the trees in the beautiful southern, British countryside and moved to London to start a career in climate change and sustainability. On a personal mission to make her life, and therefore that of her boyfriends, as green and sustainable as possible, she cycles, recycles and upcycles. She loves cheap vintage clothes and old floral material and spends much of her time scouting out bargains in markets. With a degree in Fine Art she sees the artistic possibility in everything and therefore has a growing pile of craft materials rescued from bins everywhere. Follow @jocorrall on Twitter and read all about her green journey on her blog.
